help with sky into another room!

Hi, im a complete newbie when it comes to this so if anyone can help me then please keep it simple! I will try and explain my problem as best as I can!

Im wanting to use a sky link, so i can change the channel in another room. I have the link and the remote but cant work out how to install it all.

Ive been in the loft and noticed that there is a cable that runs from the external arial. This splits into 2, 1 end goes into the bedroom and im guessing the other disapeers down stairs.

Do i need to just attach the sky link to the cable upstairs. or do i need to buy loads of new cable to make this work?

Thanks in advance

Dan

You need a coax cable from the rf2 out on your sky box to the remote location. Normally you would put your normal aerial into the sky box rf1 in and connect your local stuff to rf1 out. In this way the cable from rf2 out carries all your terrestrial channels from your aerial as well as the sky box output. Connect this cable to the skylink box in and it's out to the remote TV.

The red led should light up on the link if it does not you may have to turn on the power using the sky box setup menu. If that's on you have break in DC comtinuity somewhere. (Isolated type wall plates are the main offenders)
