how do i join a sky indoor arial lead

how do i join a sky indoor arial lead

my arial lead was not working,so i cut the connector that u plug in 2 the back of the tv off. how do i join a new one,i,ve been told i need a special adaptor/conector,to join an arial lead can anyone help

What do you mean by Sky aerial?
What type of plugs did it have - did they plug in or have to be screwed in?
You can buy both types in any type quite cheap.
There's not much point in joining two cables.

hi i mean the arial lead that u plug in2 the back of the tv.silver colour with small prong in the middle.i want to attach a new one to the old lead..do i need a special connecter . i,ve tried tape and those joining blocks,but they don,t work,thanks

You mean a standard male coax plug as per the attached illustration.

Please reply to the question in post #3 - this doesn't sound like a Sky-related question and if it isn't then it's in the wrong forum.
What is the other end of this cable plugged into, and why can't you just get a new ready-made cable without joining anything?

hi thanks 4 ur message i need the silver plug as shown in fernandez thumbnail...i am going 2 get one 2mor...hopefully that should solve the problem.and no i don,t need to join the lead now...i will let u now if i succeed..thanks

the lead runs from my sky box in lounge to my bedroom..

hi thanks 4 ur help. i bought 2 deluxe male coax plugs 2day...followed the video and it works fine...i also wired up a lead to my spare room and used a splitter and now have sky in my spare room as well.ur help has been invaluble..thanks a lot..sylv6
