Audio sync issues on Pace Sky SD box

I have the analogue audio out from my Pace Sky SD box connected to my Denon AVR1509 surround amp. Sometimes (Swordfish tonight on Channel 5 is a case in point!) the audio via the amp lags behind the video. Direct audio via scart is fine. Does anyone know why this might happen? I watch Later.. with Jools Holland via the amp each week and lip sync is spot on so I don't think it's the amp. Why should lip sync vary through the auido out jacks? And why are some channels different from others?

Thanks.

Ok last night I went through a whole range of channels with the amp and the lip sync via the external audio out was 100% perfect - and that included a movie on Channel Five which had been the problem channel the night before. How can the audio sync vary from day to day like this? Very confusing...
