Sky plus/ magic eye

Please bear with me as I am so non technical!!. I have skyplus in my living room and a magic eye in a 2nd room. The magic eye is connected to a blue box where you can add extra cables!! (told you I was non techy). The magic eye could change channels, record etc until I replaced the little portable with an old sony widescreen. I have managed to cable in the playstation, video and Wii but can only get sound from the sky and a very grainy picture. I have tried to find suitable answers on here and other sites but no luck yet, any help would really be appreciated but please nothing that invloves soldering irons!!!

Cheers

Retune the Sony to get the Sky picture. Make sure the Sky Digibox RF output is NOT set to channel 69, as some TVs can't tune that channel in.

If you mean that the "magic-eye" won't pass the remote control signals back to the Digibox, make sure the "eye" is well away from the TV. Try disconnecting it from the TV while you change channel.

I think you are describing a thunderstorm? Is the sound from the sky preceded by a bright flash?
