Hi guys,

My mate has recently bought a SAMSUNG LE40R88BDX lcd tv and cannot find a 3 digit code that enables him to use his Sky remote to control his tv. He's tried at least 6 from various websites promoting them as for Samsung models. Any one got one of these tv's and knows a code that would work or could point me in the right direction I'd be very thankfull.

Just checked in the sky manual and the set up code for Samsung tv's is 0060.

Try 0088
It may not work if it's an old revision of the Sky remote.

I've got the same TV and I'm pretty sure 0060 works. It's definitely a four digit code (I tried all the 'threes' first without success !).

If there is no "rev no" on a label in the Sky remote battery compartment it's likely this is an old version remote and it will not have the codes for your TV.

i have tried many 3 and 4 digit codes to get my samsung LE37R87BDX tv to work with the sky+ remote.

the only ones that work are:
646
0646
0066
0088

however, not all buttons map correctly. if i use the "tv guide" button, or any of the other 3 buttons on this row, the sky+ recieves the command properly, but the tv changes to use the standard channels, rather than the "EXT1" scart connection. i then have to put in back onto this channel with the samsung remote. very annoying as volume and other keys work fine.

are there other codes that will resolve this problem?

Take the battery cover off to see what version your remote is,eg rev4(oldest) rev6, rev8(latest)) Older remotes wont work with the new lcds.Or try a similar model number,using the sky interactive button,and follow the on screen instructions

0646 works on the new ps50c96hdx and ps50q97hdx plasmas, I'd say the 42" ones as well.

By "am unable to programme the Sky remote to work on the telly"...do you mean you don't know how to do it or are you asking for the code for your TV?
If the latter what revision of the Sky remote do you have?...it's on a label in the battery compartment.
Is it a standard Sky box or Sky+?
