Re: Anyone with HD & a 32" LCD
Dont worry Bromley you will see a big difference. I have a 32 inch Sony with my HD box, the picture quality is great. Nature and sport are breathtaking on HD. The TV quality is more important than the HD box IMO.

Re: Anyone with HD & a 32" LCD
What rubbish about a 32" not giving a high def image
I currently have HD attached to my 32" and the difference between HD movies and SD movies is night and day.
My HD picture is superb and the colours are simply amazing, you wait and see for yourself

Read under 'Static and Motion Resolution'
Will The 2007 HDTV You Choose Give You All Resolution You Expect? » HDGURU.Com
An LCD screens 'actual' resolved resolution because of motion blur suffers to the point that 50% of detail is lost when the screen shows movement...

Re: Anyone with HD & a 32" LCD
Will you see a rise in quality on a 32" between SD and HD... Hell yes... You only have to flick between a programme being simulcast on an SD and HD channel to see... is it worth it yes.. I'm prepared to put my money where my mouth is.. I will pay the £49.99 cost of the HD box to the OP if he does not see an improvement. I will check . Any of the size matters brigade care to match me...?

Re: Anyone with HD & a 32" LCD
I have a Panasonic TX-32LZD85 and my HD picture is STUNNING.
Also, my SD picture probably looks better than those on larger screens.

While I'm no fan of the typical picture from an LCD, it's nonsense to suggest that HD material won't look better in this scenario.
And movement on my plasma reduces the effective resolution too, it's not unique to LCD. (although it is usually worse)

Re: Anyone with HD & a 32" LCD
This is now getting like the old threads regarding the quality of HDMI leads, the more you spend the better it must be.
Defend your purchases as you wish, I don’t think anyone is saying the you cannot view HD on a 32” LCD and not notice any difference, more the proven fact that your viewing experience depends on size of screen V viewing distance. Also LCD screens are very poor at handling fast moving pictures, this too is a proven fact, and like already discussed, is more noticeable the bigger the screen.
Sky+ HD for me has made a big difference in the quality of my viewing pared with are 50” LG Plasma in the living room and 42” LG Plasma in the bedroom. Tried it on the 32” LCD in are daughters room and even she was happy to keep the Sky+ she already had in there, apposed Sky+ HD.

I have a Sony KDL32U3000, so a cheapie Supermarket Morrisons LCD tv at 32"
so is HD worth it and does it work?
Hell yeah, I have loads of HD DVDs and Xbox 360 that I play in 1080i, they look superb.
Sky+HD looks superb.
There is a difference! I won't go back to regular DVDs and low-res video gaming on my 32"
