Unable to record from CH4 HD and use live pause

Morning all, firstly a merry xmas to everyone. Hope everyone is having a nice morning.

The other week i swapped my Sky+ box with a friends HD box. All has been working fine (i dont subscribe to HD so just have the free to view channels). I have however noticed a problem whereby i cannot record anything from the CH4 HD. When i press record nothing happens. I also cannot pause this channel.
Scrooged is on later today in HD and well i will be out and would love to have this recorded to watch later and well in my current position this is not going to happen.
I never called Sky originally to pair the card as everything seemed to work straight away. Do i need to do this or is there a more simpler reason why the Sky+ features are not working on this channel.

I had the same problem when i swapped my Sky+ to a HD box and the only fix was to ring Sky to pair the card and box

call technical support 08442 411411

the card needs to be paired to the box to be able to record/pause encrypted channels and unfortunately C4HD is "classed" as one of those channels
ring sky up and pair the card
