Re: Does not locked mean no signal on sky hd box

You can record two channels on Sky at the same time, but you have to use terrestrial or Freeview ( if you have it ) for simultaneously viewing a third. Your digibox only has two tuners for live viewing. You can, however watch a recording on your Sky box, and record the two channels simultaneously.

As for your Input, it is normal for Input 2 on Samsung boxes to show no readings when the input is not being used. A design feature. Which box do you have?

Have you viewed the two recordings? Are they OK?

Thanks for the reply, ihave a thompson box . I currently have eli stone recording on sci fi and we are watching bbc1 but my input1 is not showing a signal. We check the signals a lot now before recording as like a few other people we have had a lot of failed recordings .

You may have a problem with Input 1. When your recording has finished, try the LNB Reset procedure here. It's as good as any.

Re: Does not locked mean no signal on sky hd box

Tried all the resets and no joy , input 1 is fine its input 2 that as no signal . Input1 cable works on both inputs . input2 cable is not giving me anything . Nothing as moved since it was ok this morning and no bad weather . Dont fancy going up the ladders on xmas day . Bit annoyed though as we have lost all our xmas recordings .

Re: Does not locked mean no signal on sky hd box

OK. One last thing to try, before going aloft. Go back into the Installers Setup and switch OFF LNB Power Supply & 22KHz Command as you did before. Save New Settings. Return to a Sky channel, then switch off the digibox and unplug at the mains. Disconnect the two LNB Inputs and leave everything for 5-10 minutes.

Reconnect the two dish inputs. Power up the digibox, then go back into the Installers Setup, and switch ON LNB Power Supply & 22KHz Command. Save New Settings.

See if that gets you both input signals back. If not, you'll have to go up top and switch the cables to unused outputs on the LNB ( if you already have a quad fitted ).

Re: Does not locked mean no signal on sky hd box

Problem solved , after grief from wife and kids not being able to record anything i had to do something. After a long process of elimination and getting ladders out i found the two of the outputs on the quad lnb have stoped working . Back up and running now . Off the subject could anyone recomend some decent sat cable and f connectors as i had to use 10m of cable from a diy shop i had knocking about as a quick fix and it is utter rubbish. I need aprox 30m . Thanks
