I have a pioneer 43", Panasonic 42 " and a 32" LCD and the HD quality on all of them is stunning, go for it you will not be disapointed.

I have skyHD downstairs ( pio plasma ) and in my bedroom i have freesat HD on a 32" LG plasma.... to be honest the SD was so good from my viewing distance ( 5 meters? ) HD was an improvement but not THAT much, at the end of the day it depends on your screen.

If your using a no name cheapo asda / tesco branded technika sense thing then HD is going to be night and day difference at 32". Also things like viewing distance are important.

But yes you can certainly tell the difference if you are close enough, or have a certain television.
