Transport Stream & Network ID - What does it mean?

Woke up this morning to find that last night's ER on C4 at 2200 failed to record, showing 'clashed'. Apart from 'Heroes' on Sci-Fi+1 at 2300 (which was fine) nothing else was being recorded and the box was in standby.
I had a nose around in the signal test page and noted that the Network ID and Transport Stream are both showing 0000. Is this correct? Signal lock is showing OK on both inputs, although the other indicators Signal strength and quality are hovering around the 50% - 60% mark.
Do the 0000 readings on the Network ID and Transport Stream indicate a problem?

Thanks
John

yes! threy should be reading some numbers, cant remember what they are, and you cant input them manually... check the at connections on the back of the box, make sure the outer braid is not touching the inner wire. then force an update..

Yep me too. Yesterday the stream was 07d4 and the id 0002 I think. Today both 0000. Signal strength and quality much reduced today. Noticed that input 2 is showing no satellite signal yet lock is ok and there is signal strength and signal quality at the 60 percent mark on input 2. What the hell is going on ???

Just did a system reboot and 07d4 and 0002 are back as the stream and the id. But still no satellite signal being received on input 2. God this thing does annoy me sometimes as I cant seem to use input 2 at the mo. Any way try a system reboot. Services, then 401, then option 8.

Re: Transport Stream & Network ID - What does it mean?

Hi Chaps, Thanks for the replies. Sorry for the late response but I've been busy at work and only managed to check my HD box again last night.
Everything seems back to normal, without me having to do at thing
I'll have to keep my eye on it a bit more closely though.
Cheers.
