Item recorded but wont play

I set up my planner to record 4, 30 minute programs on the same channel one after the other, all 4 recorded correctly but the 2nd and 3rd program just wont play when I hit the start button, they have end times and there are no error messages. The only way I can get out of the screen is to hit the tv guide option, back up wont work. Is this just one of those things that sometimes happens or something to worry about, have recorded since without any problems.

I've had the same problem. Had to just delete the program in the end

Try pressing services, then 4, 0, 1, select. This should take you into the installers menu, from there do a planner rebuild NOT a full system reset. This might work, has for me in the past.

I have deleted the one's that would not play so cant try it, so are you saying if it happens again in the future a planner rebuild will enable me to then watch it.

It wasn't on channel 4 was it?

I've had this problem loads over the last 4 weeks, always with channel 4 programmes.

I had exact same problem yesterday, but no it wasnt on channel 4, it was Bravo. I was actually watching it up to the 22 minute and then it just froze...now it wont even play from the start. I just deleted it, but a planner rebuild did go through my head though, but I never tried it.

Yes, it was sky one the first time and channel 4 the second. I tried the planner re-build but it didn't work. Had to delete it.

For what it's worth I had this problem on my Thomson Sky+, I recorded two consecutive programs on channel 4 last night, the first one I was able to view but the second (Big Brother launch, the missus was fuming!) was listed as recorded but would not play even after a planner rebuild. had to delete it in the end. I would like to know if this is due to the Anytime TV service upgrade as it never happened before. D

As far as i can tell its when you record 3 programs in a row. certainly has been for me. bloody irritating though
