What's the Sky number to arrange my 1/2 price install

Those lovely people at Comet, never gave me a number to call.

Partly my fault, i was in a hurry & never asked.

Got my receipt here, & no number to call

Re: What's the Sky number to arrange my 1/2 price install

I was just about to post a similar msg.
I got my TV on order from an online retailer. They gave me the Sky HD deal and have already passed my details onto SKY.
HOWEVER....its been almost 1 week and i haven't had a call from Sky yet.
The TV arrives on weds and i was hoping i could have my HD box asap.
What should i do? Sit n twiddle my thumbs whilst anxiously staring at the phone or ring them up (on what number).
HELP ME PLEASE!!!

OK couldn't wait any longer so i called them.
They say they haven't been contacted by anyone regarding my installation!
So i'll have to chase this up in the morning now.
BTW - 08702 40 40 40 is the number to dial and i think it was option 2 and then 1.

Re: What's the Sky number to arrange my 1/2 price install

Hi All,

I got my PX60 delivered last week. I bought it from the Panasonic shop who have the £150 off Sky HD offer. I was told that they would pass on my details to Sky who would then be in touch to offer me the box for £149.

I was a Sky customer until 6 months ago so I thought I would phone them just to check that I would be allowed to take up the offer ( I read previous stories of "returning" customers being refused the new customer offers)

I called 08705 800 874. This was the number on the Sky website. I told the guy that I had just purchased a HDTV and was told that I was entitled to 1/2 price Sky HD. He said no problem and said he would also give me 10% of the subscription for 12 months. This sounded like an offer that was on their system. He started to process the order but said that the computer wouldn't allow him to reduce the price of the box from £300. He gave me another number to phone as 'their' system would allow it.

I then spoke to no fewer that 6 different departments. Each gave me a different story. The main theme was that as I had been a subscriber within the past 12 months, I wasn't entitled to the offer. I was gutted.

Having been on the phone to Sky for almost 1 1/2 hours I decided that I would give it one last try and called the original number above. I was hoping that by luck I might get the same guy and his system might be working by now. I got another guy. Anyway after telling him how I had been told to phone sky by the retailer and had spoken to 7 different departments, was there anything he could do? "No Problem" he said.

Bingo!! I got the box for £149. He waived the £60 installation fee and... wait for it.... gave me 50% off my subscription for 12 months (" for all your trouble")

What a result!!! Anyway, I was given an install date for this Wednesday. I'm just waiting for a call to say sorry we've made a mistake.

I'll let you know how I get on!
