sky HD phone line problem

this started yesterday, we have the sky phone line pluged into a 2 into 1 socket with the phone, but when my mum tried to make a phone call the line seemed to be dead so i checked the sky system test, that said phone line not connected, now to cut a long story short the phone works if we unplug the sky phone line, but if we plug the sky phone line direct to wall socket it says phone line busy in the sky system test, anyone else had this problem?.

Are you sure the phone line is plugged in to the phone socket on the back of the sky box, if its plugged in to the ethernet socket it could cause the problem you are describing.

problem solved, it was the phone extension lead to the sky box doing it, dodgy connector.
