sky hd in different rooms

I have ordered a sony bravia 32" hd ready tv for my sky hd service. This tv will be located in my living room. At present i have a cable running a tv link to my bedroom from my sky+ rf 2 output. What are the options for sky hd to watch a channel in a different room? Is it possible to watch it in another room in hd with a different connection?
May seem like a simple question to many of you but i have never seen the box so dnt know what connections it come with

Hello thebulletz2

Your SKY HD box has two HD outputs - Digital (HDMI) and Analogue (3RCA).

Both outputs are active simultaneously so you could take one connection to a local 'TV' and one to a distant 'TV'.

Alternatively you can split the Digital or Analogue (or both) HD output to two or more locations around your house - keep in mind everyone has to view the same channel.

The Digital output carries Video + Audio down a single cable - the Analogue connection requires either Two cables (1 x Video + 1 x Audio) or a custom Multicore.

The Digital signal Distribution is currently more costly than Analogue signal Distribution - though be aware there is the chance that at some future date some of the HD content may not always be available on the Analogue Output due to licensing restrictions placed on some programs by individual broadcasters.

Best regards

Joe

PS If you want to view a different channel in a different location you require a second SKY HD box + Subscription!!!
