Moving Sky box to another location

Hi,

I ahve a Sky+ box with the sports subscription, I'm planning to visit a relative this week, who has SkyHD, but no sports.

Could, theoretically, I take my Sky box, with card, and plug it into their dish and view the packages I subscribe too, without either of us messing our sky subscriptions up?

And would the sky+ box pick up the subscriptions? I presume I wouldn't plug it into the phone line?

Your subscription has nothing to do with whether you are connected to a phone line or not, or with what satellite dish your Sky box is connected to. As long as you are connected to a satellite dish which is pointing in the right direction, and you have the card in the box that it is paired with, it will work fine. The only time phone line connection is needed is if you have more than one box on a multiroom account (or if you want to vote for somebody other than Katie Price on I'm A Celebrity via the red button).

Ah brilliant.

I assume then, that there is no difference between the dishes used for HD and Normal Sky+, and no difference depending on location.
