Yes if your line is interleaved, which most Sky connections are by default (but not all) then you can ask tier 3 to reduce your "max delay" (another term for interleaving depth). They should do this while you wait on the phone & ensure the line is still stable after the reduction. Your pings should then be lower.

Re: Sky n xbl

Welcome to Sky's weak point - Customer services.

Best way to try is call about 1-3 AM if possible. Ask specifically to talk to tier 3 support, first/second line support will not have a clue. You could also try emailing support with a link to this page. That is a copy of an internal Sky memo posted on skyuser (be aware though skyuser has no official connection with sky).

Re: Sky n xbl

Just got off the phone to them and after speaking to another person who didn't know what i was talking about i asked them to put my through to tier 3 and they knew what i meant and all is ok now. I pinged bbc.co.uk and jolt and both were 24 ms yesterday it was 44 ms. So this means my delays for gaming should be better now ?

Yes gaming should be less laggy, although 44ms wasn't too bad to start with & it will obviously depend on the host having a good connection as well.

Add me to your friends list and I will have a few games over the next few days. My gamer tag is the same as this one.
