That's promising, I was told the one year thing last week. Hopefully it might be quicker.

I was told "maybe in the next couple of weeks, but it's being done in phases, so we're not entirely sure".

I said "don't worry then, BT have told me I can have it now, I'll just switch to them" thinking they'd offer me some sort of sweetener to stick with them and wait and see, but no, nothing, they didn't seem the least bit bothered about losing my custom, so I just signed up with BT instead.

A lot of people you speak to over the telephone won't care at all if you threaten to and then leave and why should they. They get paid regardless of whether or not Mr. X is a customer.

I suppose so, but you'd think they'd have standard instructions on the screen in front of them to say if a customer says they want to leave, to at least put them through to retentions or something?

If too many many customers say they're leaving, they won't have a job to worry about anyway

Yet to come across a ISP who just let me go, over the years all have tried their hardest to keep me as thier customer. Toucan, Tiscali, BT, SKY, VM, BT and again SKY! The best deals compared with with headline price I've had have been with BT I stayed with them for 4 yrs it got cheaper every year. Though for what I want now BT cant compete with SKY! They offered to match the price though.

Availability of Sky Fibre Unlimited

Hello Darren,

Thank you for showing an interest in fibre from Sky.

We're writing to let you know that although Sky Fibre Unlimited has now launched, we've checked the telephone number you gave us and can see that unfortunately, it's not currently available in your area.

You can now keep an eye on fibre availability for yourself, on our website, and you can find out about our other Sky Broadband products here too.

Kind regards,

The Sky Broadband and Talk Team

go configure

Got the same email yesterday.

Having BT Infinity installed on Monday. Would have been more than happy to stay with Sky if they could have done it.
