Sky Sagem router and WPA2

Has anybody managed to get WPA2 on the Sagem router that Sky ship out? Why isn't there an option for this?

WPA2 is not available on the standard Sky firmware (1.9)
I believe WPA2 was enabled in the 2.6 firmware but this was pulled earlier this year, may have started upgrading again recently though.
If you really need WPA2 you could flash the router to the standard sagem firmware but this would be against Sky T&C.

Interesting as I seem to be still on 2.6!! Does the router not upgrade automatically as I have had mine for over a year now and I have always been using WPA2.

Go into your browser and just type in 198.168.0.1 using 'admin' as username and 'sky' as password then you can make the changes accordingly. You will lose connection on your computer but just delete the previous network connection and select the new one and just put in your network key.

From what i understand the original sagems shipped with 1.1 this was upgraded to 1.5 then 1.9 which the majority appear to be on.
2.6 is/was the latest firmware and has WPA2 on as you know but it was pulled from the Sky servers earlier this year due to some problems with reserving ip addresses,i believe these have now been sorted and the upgrades have started to roll out again.
They are auto updates done in the early hours around 2.30am

I'm on SKY_1.11 and I have WPA2, the 3 options I have are WEP, WPA/WPA2 "Mixed Mode" and WPA-802.1x

Dunno why I'm on 1.11 though as I signed up for Sky 2 weeks ago, surely it should be newer than that?

OK - I have just checked and my router is still on 1.9. Does anybody have a link to a 2.6 download so I can do it myself?
