'Another' NTL speed increase...

And there are caps introduced too, and a £25 admin charge for existing customers. Details so far:
£17.99 per month: ntl 1Mb Broadband (monthly usage allowance 5GB)
£24.99 per month: ntl 2Mb Broadband (monthly usage allowance 30GB)
£37.99 per month: ntl 3Mb Broadband (monthly usage allowance 40GB)
Mixed blessing then  :(

But we've already got a cap (although its generally uninforced) of 1GB a day so 30Gb a month on 2mb is the same.

Yup,the cap is already there,so effectivley they are doubling your speed to 3mb and increasing your download limit by 10 gig.

Lorenzizi is your glass always half empty? :hiya:

I had no idea there was already a cap anyways - I suppose thinking about it you'd really have to go some to go over those limits... I withdraw my negative sentiments then!

i hope this is true.. but i hope the cap bit isn't.. if i had 3mb i'd definitely go over my limit, i'm probably stretching it as it is.. have downloaded nearly 4gb since yesterday evening..

Where did you find this out? I've been looking for a while but can't seem to find out anything out about it...

Ooh - but looks a lot more official than the link I posted earlier on. I now actually believe it!

That's great news!! I must say that the current cap is not greatly enforced as I download a few gig a day on my 750K line and have not been written to etc. 2GB a day sounds superb!! for the same price!!
