I am on the 18th April. To be honest I'm a little bit concerned, I ordered my tickets a while back but I still haven't received them yet...

I got in contact with the organisers and they said they wouldn't start posting tickets until two weeks before the show to prevent ticket touting...Phew!

hi there, also going on the 18th and looking foreward to it, for the past few years have always gone to the stuff show but it seems to get worse and worse each year and more expensive, tickets for last years were £20 each , plus travel and eats becomes a expensive few hours out, and it is only a good few hours where in the early years of it you could spend most of the day there....so hopefully the gadget show will be good.....see you there.....steve

Yeah, they are. Only the Friday and Sunday though...Saturday 18th April is completely sold out.

Blimey, when they kept saying Suzie was ill, I thought she just picked up a nasty bug...No way did I think it would be that serious. I'll be amazed if she even goes to Gadget Show Live after something like that.

I saw that they were sold out too, either demand has been very high or the venue isn't as big as it should have been. I thought it was at the NEC, maybe they've just got one small hall.

I'm not going , but i heard on the radio that is a sell out so i doubt very much they will be selling tickets on the door ,still might be worth ringing the venue to see if any tickets have been returned

Hi, thanks for the reply, gutted presumed they would be selling a few tickets on the door for a higher price than the advance tickets! Certainly sounds like a popular show hope it lives up to peoples expectations when it kicks off!

After attending may 'technology' shows in the past (Were they run by T3 magazine??) I decided to give this one a miss as the previous shows were really poor!

But a few weeks back I decided that perhaps I would like to see whats going on and looks for tickets and found that they were sold out... What amazed me is that tickets are selling on Ebay for anything between £100 and £250 EACH!!! Whats wrong with people??

My company actually had a 'trip' planned through our "Sports and Social" club for this event and I asked them for tickets but they were sold out too.. So I gave up looking. Then out of the blue, yesterday, 2 tickets became available from work for £10 each, so I snapped them up...

So I am going tomorrow!!

Fingers crossed it won't be the let down I assume it will be!

I wish I could.. Couple of problems with that.

1. They have my company name all over them as they were a corporate purchase, so it might land me in trouble.

2. Its too short notice to get them to someone by tomorrow.

I am going to go with an open mind.. I just can't see that there is enough money in peoples 'marketing' pot to be able to put on a good show.. But who knows.

If I go, expecting it to be like having a trip to Currys.. I am not going to be disappointed..... There only has to be some kind of demo of '3D' and i will be happy.

I'm actually working on the event in the main show area, I had a quick look around the main exhibition area and only saw one demo of 3D in the games section, I was hoping to see some descent 3D stuff myself. And as Apple, there is an iPod accessories stall but that is all I saw.

It was only quick look around though, and I could have easily missed something, I didn't have long to look and the exhibition area was totally packaged, I guess that's what happens when you sell out.

we broke a Panasonic Toughbook laptop today in the test to destruction segment, not sure what sort of state it is going to be in for the show tomorrow. I had it in pieces, but it isn't looking very good

What did people think of the show? I was happy that I didn't have to pay parking as my Mate has a bad back and because it was a long walk, I asked if I could park closer, so they sent me to 'Gate 1' which turned out to be the entrance to the 'goods in' end of the NEC.. Free parking.. 100 yards walk.. Well chuffed.

The show as OK.. Actually better than i expected, but nothing to write home about.. However, did anyone see the girl on the "Swiss Bike" stand (right at the far end on the right, in the same block as the Roland V-Drum Stand).. WOW.. Just WOW.. I have NEVER seen a body like that in my life.. Worth the entrace fee alone

To be honest, I was a little dissapionted with the show in all.

The super theatre was good, and seeing all the gadget show crew, but I expected a lot more stalls where you could actually take things away with you.

I went armed with an empty rucksack and some quite a lot of secret spends and most of the stalls you couldnt actually but anything on the day.

I did enjoy the day though but You could litterally walk round the show in an hour and get loaded with leaflets.

I did make a couple of purchases though, 2 pairs of fm headphones, a one touch can opener and a popcorn a110 form the advance mp3 players stall just to spend the secret spends.

I think pc world and sandisk were 2 of the most pointless stands.

It did seem to get a bit better after the few beers though and we did end up getting on the wrong train home but made it back after a couple of changes.

Overall it was a good day but would have liked more things to buy and sneak in the house before the mrs saw them but still had a fun day out.

Anyone feel the same or is it me?

I was really impressed with the metal sculpured robots and aliens, they were fantastic.
