Moorgate Acoustics Musical/AV Evening April 2nd

Well it's that time of year again! As the title suggests we are hosting (what appears to becoming an annual event) a Wilson Benesch Musical Evening.
This year is a little different though, along with Craig and Christina Milnes from WB, we will also have joining us Nigel Crump, from Symmetry Systems. It doesn't end there, we will have a representative from Projection Design too!

You may have already met Craig and Christina from their regular attendance at the Bristol Show. If you have you'll know how friendly and knowledgable they are. Craig, as the designer of the products, has a genuine enthusiasm and understanding of the complex technical aspect of his products. If you want to know why they use Carbon Fibre so extensively, then come along and find out....!

Nigel is well known to many in the industry as he has been an influential figure in the Hi-End sector for many years, having a great deal of knowledge and experience. Some of the products Nigel distributes reads like a list of who's who, Mark Levinson, Esoteric, Ayre, Thiel, Lyra and so on!

As for the demos...

Continuing the theme of the Bristol Show, upstairs in the big demo room, we will have a full Wilson Benesch Square system. Square 2's on the front, Square Centre and Square 1's at the rear. One (or maybe 2!) Torus subs, sorry, Infrasonic Generators..... To drive that lot we'll have the Arcam FMJ AV9 and 2 P7 amps. The projector will be one of the big Projection Design models, showing Hi-Def from a Blu-Ray player and Uvem HTPC on the 12' screen they had at Bristol.

Downstairs in the 'stereo' room, will be something special. Hopefully we will have an Esoteric CD player, regarded by many as one of the best CD/SACD players in the world, the Ayre MXR mono amps and as pre-amp, well..... maybe a UK first! Check back for more details as and when we can confirm... The speakers will be Wilson Benesch, either the new Trinity's or A.C.T.'s

As usual, there will be the warmth, friendliness and good cheer that is Moorgate.... especially as we get down the wine!

It looks to be another good night, so if you want to come along the evening is on Wednesday 2nd April, starting at 6:00pm until around 9:30ish...

Invitation is by ticket only, so please e-mail sales@moorgateacoustics.co.uk or telephone 0114 2756048 if you're interested.

Just a little more info about the system we'll be featuring downstairs. We will be using the Esoteric X-01 CD player (a £10K reference product) and are delighted to be able to also be using the New Ayre MXK - FOR THE FIRST TIME IN THE UK. There are only two of these in the whole of Europe and massive claims are already being made for performance. Matched with the MX-R mono's and Wilson Benesch Trinity speakers (partnered with Torus Subwoofer) this remarkable system will be a sight for sore ears!

A small number of tickets are still available.
