In addition to Chris's lovely remote (which gets full marks from a rival manufacturer =) ), in room 428, you will be able to see a full JBL Project Array speaker system running off JBL Synthesis electronics, shown on a suitably gorgeous projector who's model number escapes me.
The JBL Project Array is just one step down from the Project K2 range, featuring a very similar design philosophy, and will be shown in full for the first time in the UK this weekend. This system will be set up and run by The Audioworks, so you can expect to see the latest in mains isolation, accoustically treated racks, and of course particularly nice cables throughout.
In room 216, the stereo perfrmance of the Array 1400's (or Array 1000's, depending on the accoustics of the room when we get there) will be shown off via a Spectral preamp, along with a choice of valve or solid state power amplifaction, giving visitors the oppertunity to hear the true capability of horn loaded loudspeakers via their preferred method of amplification. Again, The Audioworks will have staff on site to explain their choice of accessories and setup.
In room 218, a combination of Harman Kardon electronics with Infinity Cascade loudspeakers will display the performance of the higher end of sub / sat systems. The Cascade range is unique in that it uses new drive square unit, twin voice coil technology to provide the radiating surface of a 6.5" midbass unit in a speaker only 5" wide, including baffle. This gives the slim, elegane surround speakers performance much nearer to traditional large cabinet designs, with the "wife acceptance factor" much discussed on these forums! These speakers will be run via Harman/Kardon's flagship AVR 745, DVD47, and HT46 LCD panel. In addition to this, the Digital Lounge 546 system will be run in tandem, for those visitors who have a more modest budget, but still want teh absoloute best in sound.
We look forward to seeing you all there, and hope you have a good show!
Graham
