| Re: How The West Was Won in Cinerama - 3 Nov.
The National Museum of Photography, Film and Television, is where Pictureville is located. Every March they host the Bradford Film Festival which always includes a 'Widescreen Weekend' which is devoted to showing classic widescreen movies, in any of the formats that ever been introduced. Pictureville is capable of showing all picture and sound formats including 3 strip Cinerama. There is always at least one Cinerama presentation in both 3 strip or single lens presentations. Additionally, on the first Saturday of every month. at 1.30pm, Pictureville shows the first ever Cinerama film, 'This Is Cinerama' in 3 strip, the only place in the world where it is shown regularly. In itself it has stood the test of time and is just as thrilling to see today as it was back in 1952! If you would like to know more about Cinerama, drop me a PM and I will give you various links. (Incidentally, Ikklepip, I lived in Stockport up until August 2005 when I moved to near Boston in Lincolnshire.) Enjoy your experience at Pictureville, it really is unique today.
