Ensure that all your cables have all four pairs connected. Gigabit Ethernet requires all four pairs. If not it will drop back to fast Ethernet (100Mb/s) between those two devices.

The modem in Sky boxes have been known to cause problems. If you don't have multi-room or use interactive services, just disconnect it. Other than for multi-room Sky don't care if it is connected.
