Digibox downgrade?

Hi,

I've just bought a 36 ich PF2.. I've noticed that my 18 month old Amstrad Digibox is producing vertical lines on most channels (after testing against an old Pace box).

I have the option to keep the old pace (mk I) digibox instead of my newer amstrad (mk III). Is there any differece in picture decoding quality between digibox generations or are the improvements generally things like menu speed etc.?

Connect the pace up and see what you think Pace boxes are generally regarded as better than amstrad but Pace mk1 vs Amstrad mk 111 is not easy. I suugest you connect them up and see which is better. If the pace out performs the amstrad then use the pace. I think sky will swapo the card over to the pace box for free. Just give them a call. YOu might also find a local indepenant installer who will swap the amstrad for a newer Pace if you wanted.
