Pace mini digibox on second subscription

If you ask Sky to install a second (or third) digibox , beware they will supply you with a Pace 'mini' digibox. Looks very nice , BUT , only one scart (only composite) and no stereo phone leads. The engineer said the Scart was RGB, but on reading the manual - 15 minutes after he left - confirmed it was not. So cancelled the contract, buying a second hand box - Panny - and getting another contract.

But it's a brilliant little unit for using in a motorhome or caravan on 12 volts!

It's around 10 inches wide, 7 inches deep and just over an inch thick. Heck, you could just about go camping with a minidish in your rucksack (but you'd need to be really sad).

You could Go to a local independent sky agent and buy a non subsidized Box(No contract needed)

Or if you have been subscribing for over 12 months you could Cancell your existing subscription(say you are moving house and are getting cable, You do not need to tell them where you are moving to), get a new subscription(different name and bank details to qualify for free equipment phone number is the same but was taken over by new tennant/owner)
then use your old box for second subscription on your new contract.

Also you could subscribe a second time (full subscription to a granny flat) then cancell your first subscription and get a second subscription attached to your new installation.

I assume you realise that the second subscription is half price and that is the whole reason for all this messing about i have just talked about.

That is one advantage of using an independent company.
