hi joe
i am a tv aerial rigger and i came across this fault about a year ago, after trying 3 eyes, new cable run re-making the coax plugs and the distribution amp and spending about an hour
i found it was the tv at fault what is happening is the tv is puting a small voltage out through the aerial sochet on the bach of the set and the eye switches off the way around this is either get the tv sorted or use an isolated tv socket on a short cable (antiference 801 ) this will stop the voltage passing the socket and will let the eye function
