dolby digital sound from nokia 221t?

i cant seem to get dolby digital 5.1 sound from my nokia 221t .

i have my 221t connected to a sony strdb 780 amp using a monster coax cable.
amp is set to auto detect , but signal on amp is pcm 48 ( whatever that is ? and only in stereo. )
i can get the stereo signal to prologic 2 simply by pushing the button but i was expecting dolby digital 5.1 ?

what should i change to try get DD 5.1 from the nokia ?

or is it not possible to get DD 5.1 from the box ?

No expert but i am sure that stereo only is transmitted. Sky+ is the only DD transmission source as far as i know.

That's right, only SKY digital broadcasts DD5.1 material to the UK at this time. The format is however used through out Europe so sooner or later it's got to turn up on DTT.

I would take a guess the most you'll get out of a UK DTT box is Pro-Logic.

My 221t is connected via the spdif, to a Yamaha av amp, I get "prologic" as the input same as NICAM, there is rear channel information, as per the NICAM broadcast.
