Pace cable and Power Mid

A friend is setting up several pieces of kit including a plasma/celestion amp/dvd etc and is using the Power Mid Pyramid system to use the remotes from another room everything is fine except the Pace Cable remote, it doesnt work at all.

The Pace boxes use a nonstandard IR protocol (IRDA) which is not compatible with most IR repeaters. There is one (DigiEye) which is IRDA compatible, albeit with linited range.
Another solution to this issue is the Red-Eye IR translator - details at www.redremote.co.uk

The IRDA problem is described on one of the technical pages here:

Mike's solution works marvellously, it's simplicity itself to install, now sold by letsautomate, get your mate to buy a pronto while he's there.
