digibox to pc the best solution

hi,

basically i want to watch the feed from my sky digibox on my pc, RF is poor quality so id like to avoid it. i have a Amstrad box, the only other connection is scart. my pc does not have s-video in, component, or composite. so i need an addition card, i think id like to use component in, and then get a scart adapter. anyone got any suggestions? Sweetspot is too expensive

cheers,
matt

Could get a dm500 box, load in cccam, and insert your card in there. Should decode no probs, and with that you can view satellite tv anywhere in the house via the network connections. If you wanted (and had good enough bandwidth), you could even stream it outside to work or wherever (assuming you open the correct ports on your router)

Re: digibox to pc the best solution

That's the main problem though, if you're looking for answers DIRECTLY related to sky (which in this case seems to be, if you're just wanting to use you current digibox), then your best place for an answer would be the DIRECT sky sub forum. There's a sticky at the top, basically saying to post sky threads and sky hd threads in their relevant sub-forums. This part of the forum is general for non-sky satellite chat. Hence most people know more about non-sky products...

But I've given the "Sky" answer anyway.

Re: digibox to pc the best solution

Perfect solution since he does want it for a PC and he has an Amstrad box.
I tested the Cielpus well over a year ago (my review is on their site).
