Sky HD cables

Hi Guys

im going to be hanging my HDTV onto my wall so will be moving my Sky HD box aswell.

Doing this means i will be redoing the cable from the LNB which is on the roof right down to the living room to the back of the box.

I will need about 30metres and have found this cable.

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/DIGITAL-COAX-C...QQcmdZViewItem

Is that good enough for what i want? and will it mean i will only need to run it once?

Thanks

Mikey

Re: Sky HD cables

Yes that cable should be fine.
Be aware, though, that it's twin WF100 which is much thicker than the twin WF65 that Sky *may* have used in the original installation
This from Satcure

"You can buy twin "shotgun" cable. This can be either WF65 (thin) stuff that can be pushed through an existing 10mm diameter hole, or twin WF100 which will require a larger hole (or split it and feed each cable through a separate hole)"

WF65 is usually not recommended for runs of over 20M

And BTW this is in the wrong forum

****If your TOPIC is on FREESAT or SKY do NOT POST it here****

Re: Sky HD cables

ok thanks

would either cable give better or worse signal?

i would be drilling new holes so thickness isnt a problem.

Re: Sky HD cables

As it's a 30M run, use WF100 twin.
As I said earlier WF65 in not recommended over 20M (because of signal loss)
