Re: Astra channels

It could be that the one box has a more sensitve tuner in it than the other, and the reception might not be brilliant, which is why it shows on one tuner, but not the other?!

maybe if you let us know which receivers both are, people could help...

But I've got 2 receivers, one DM500 and one TM5400. On the TM5400 I get a signal of 96% on Hotbird, on the DM500 I get 88-90%. I've read that the TM5400 has a more sensitive tuner, hence I guess the better reception.

You might also probably do with a bigger dish, or checking that your dish is correctly aligned. Maybe even try skewing the lnb to ensure you get best signal poss...

Re: Astra channels

Are these two tuners in the same receiver?

If so you may have a worse connection (or even cable) on one input than the other. Try switching off at mains and swapping the lnb cables over.

Channel numbers mean absolutely nothing on most receivers as you usually have the ability to reorder channels or delete them as you see fit.
