If you have a firewire connection then the Digital Everywhere FloppyDTV (internal) or FireDTV (external) devices are very well regarded. I'm really happy with mine. If you don't have firewire - then not relevant.

Re: Technotrend S2-3650, stable?

This is a USB box. I have one, but it only works with the supplied TT Media software, DVBViewer etc. cannot recognise the CI. I only got this one as my HTPC is half-height and only has 1 PCI slot. It does crash a fair bit, and I am considering the FloppyDTV as an alternative.

Re: Technotrend S2-3650, stable?

I have been using this unit for quite a while and I can confirm that it does work with dvbviewer using the latest driver and ttBdaDrvApi_Dll.dll V 1.0.1.15.
Previous versions did fail on occasion to recognise the cam.
Just install dvbviewer again to download the latest dll.
