Distributing two sources via Triax DDU112

I've scoured the threads and haven't quite found my answer!

I have Sky HD connected to the DDU112 via a down link and up link (SAT2). There's no problem tuning into analogue channel 68 and receiving the signal via RF2 on any TV in the house.

I also have a standard Sky box in another room connected through a Triax 304115 wall plate. Signal comes down from SAT3. There's a Return feed (retuned to channel 62) going back up to SAT4 but this doesn't distribute to other TVs. This works, however, if I reconnect this uplink to the SAT2 up link (as above).

My question:
1. Can I feed two separate sources up to the DDU for onward distribution?
2. Will I have to (or can I?) combine the two uplinks into SAT2 to make it work?
3. Is there a better way!?

Thanks
Andy

I don't quite follow but there's a whole page of technical information devoted to "Loft Box Help" on a well known satellite web site.

Thanks, Sam. Yes, I've trawled through that site (and bought some gear!) but I couldn't find my answer.

Put simply, I wish to distribute analogue signals from two separate digital satellite sources. Everything I've seen shows one source, which is fine as there is one uplink input on the DDU112. Is there a clever way to uplink two or am I missing something obvious?

Just daisy-chain the boxes.
aerial in --> RF out ---> aerial in --> RF out --> uplink.

Re: Distributing two sources via Triax DDU112

Sam, thanks again

I agree that this would work for my standard Sky box (notwithstanding the boxes are in different rooms). However, I'd like to replace this with a second Sky HD box also with two tuners, requiring all four satellite feeds to be connected (SAT1&2; SAT3&4). The uplink (analogue) cable (SAT2) for box 1 is the same as the downlink (digital). Similarly for box 2 it is SAT4.

That's where I come unstuck. If I daisy-chain them I lose one of the downlinks. As far as I can tell SAT4 on the DDU does not work in the same uplink way as SAT2, i.e it doesn't distribute the analogue signal to other TV outlets.

I think I may not be explaining this very well........!
