Installation of Motorised System

Being a complete idiot when it comes to stuff like this I am looking for a company who would install for me a complete motorised system to pick up all sats.

Anyone any recommendations. I have been on a few websites like the satelite superstore and they only seem to offer the system not installation. BTW I live in Central Scotland

I live in East Central Scotland and I gave up on the idea; I only found one guy that would do it and he quoted anything from 500 up for installation only.

Yeah I have tried all over and no-one seems to do it.

Seems like its going to be a DIY job.

I'd have a look on digitalspy post your question here, if they don't know an installer they can advise you on kit etc

250 each is what he meant. The price is good and thanks for the offer, but, with no offence intended, I don't know much about you, a.v.sat. Have you got a shop? Do you have insurance and would it apply for this work?

Re: Installation of Motorised System

Installing a motorised system is not that hard , I've allways done my own and have fitted a few for some m8's.The tricky part is the tweaking to get all the required satellites in the ark .Firstly ,you need all the required bits ready before you start. What make of reciever are you using ?? ,What mount are you going to use ?? Your installation will have to face South , is there anything in the way ?? like houses are trees ?? . You have to do as much research as you can . I've had my sat hobby since the days of D2-mac and have progressed through the recievers , analogue and now digital . I have allways used the trusty Humax models , but a couple of years ago I bought a Technomate 1500+ . Wow ,what a model , especially for under a ton .It will do for fixed dish's or motorised , it can be patched , it will work with all CAM's , it's easy to set up ,it does a quick blind search , picture and sound quality are excellent .Yes ,there are other recievers on the market ,the Dreambox for instance , this does everything .But ,if you want to spend more time watching the programs than programing the reciver and adding images etc , go for something simple with good support.HTH
