Discovery HD Europe

Hey

Been looking through Lyngsat and came across Discovery Europe. If i could recieve this channel im sold. Im getting that dish.

However i don't know if i can. Can i just point the dish to where it says

Astra 2B at 28.2°E

And then simply watch the channel? Or do i need a card, subscription to the station? Anything, i just cannot go with something like sky.

Please, a fast reply would be appricated on this one.

Thank you.

Re: Discovery HD Europe

Discovery HD on 28.2 is run by Sky, so you will need a Sky subscription. You can however get Discovery HD on 19.2 via premiere.

Subscriptions to Premiere are only sold to German residents and their official subscription appears to require purchase or renting of their receiver although cards are available unofficially through many internet outlets. Plus according to www.lyngsat.com all broadcasts are in German only on their two HD channels.

But may be in other languages too. Premiere HD is a film channel which has dual audio tracks one German the other the original langauge normally English as most of the films are American. Discovery HD Deutschland may sometimes have dual audio German/English but more often has a German voiceover while the original English soundtrack can still be heard in the background.
