if sat is for me?

hi all just quickly wanted to know if sat tv is worth it? would i be able to get all the channels that sky have or vergin media, also would i be able to get some of the hd channels? and would they all be the same quality, also ive seen a few of the threads already and from what ive seen they all seem to be up north, is it just as easy to do it in the city (london) im not asking for a step by step guied of how to do it all but just if its worth looking in to (seems like quite a bit to take in)

The only way to get all the channels on Sky OR Virgin is to get one of them and subscribe.

If you are looking for subscription free satellite TV - virtually none of the Sky or Virgin subscription channels are available free elsewhere.

What basically do you want free or subscription and what type of programmes - sport, entertainment or what?

im looking for any hd channels and then just some moviie channels and entertainment. what sort of channels can you get from a sat?

Look at the FTA (Free To Air) lists on www.lyngsat.com
or www.kingofsat.net.
Lyngsat colour codes them.
