Questions About Freesat

Hi guys, I am thinking of getting freesat but have a few questions about it.

1) Can I buy a digibox that is compatible with freesat and use that as my reciever?, I was thinking of getting the Pace DS810XE which appears to be designed for freesat.

2) If I choose to use the Pace Digibox for freesat will I have to have the box that Sky give me and replace that with the Pace box?, or do I only pay for the dish and installation if I buy the box separately?

The Pace DS8xx series is not compatible with Freesat.
You have to have a $ky digibox in order for the Freesat card to be recognised; $ky use embedded Videoguard encryption which is not supported by standard CI (Common Interface) CAMs (Conditional Access Modules). Only $ky digiboxes have embedded Videoguard CAMs.

If your going to get sky to fit you freesat why would you change the box.
I doubt sky will give you a discount for having your own box thats not even going to work with a sky card.
You could get the box and get someone local to fit you a dish ,you would not get ch4 and ch5 plus a few others ,the only bonus is you would get the bbc hd channel.
