Smile Told one thing and get another

Here is what has happened to me over the last several weeks

I have had a Sky digital on the full package for over six years now and Sky+ via a pace v2 box for around 2 years.
Over the last four months i have had to reset my system four times loosing all my recordings in the process, having to inform the missus wasn't something i enjoyed telling her all her ER's etc have been deleted yet again.

I phoned sky everytime and just did what they told me to do and everytime they wanted £65 for a service engineer to come and look at my set top box.
I declined and just hoped it wouldn't happen again, the last time was the final straw and i phoned them yet again and told them about my problems.
Missed recordings, failed recordings lockups during recorded playback etc you know the usual.

Again they wanted £65 for a service engineer to come out but again i said no and i wanted to cancel sky altoghether.
They quickly offered me a free call out and replacement box with no charge whatsoever, they also said they would provide a free Sky+ 160 box for all my trouble.

Great i thought so yesterday the guy turns up with a reconditioned v2 box, now i realise they have charged me nothing and i now have a fully working v2 sky+ box but i was told different.

I phoned sky yet again and was told i shouldn't have been tols i would receive a v3 box ?? but i was and am a bit narked about it.

rant over

atleast it works for now

you have to go into services - system setup - then press 0 then 1 then select - you will see a full system reset option - select that and follow the onscreen instructions.

you will lose all recorded programs when you do this
