TV LINK/Magic Eye Problem

Need help as this problem is doing my head in. We have a TV LINK (aka Magic eye) which used to work ok in our bedroom with a remote to change channel etc. Wife played around with cables downstairs between tv and digibox to try and get karaoke machine to work for our daughter and now Tv link no longer works!!!
1) We have a cable from aerial socket in TV to aerial socket on digibox.
2) Also have a cable from RF1 output on digibox to aerial socket in wall
3) We have no cable coming from RF2 output.
However if we connect coaxial cable to RF2 output on digibox and connect this to the TV LINK, the light on the latter comes on and we can change channels using a remote from behind the digibox.
Sky works fine downstairs
If I go upstairs and connect TV LINK to the aerial socket on the TV, no light comes on!
Really confused as it all used to work fine.

Tv link problem

Have connected cable from RF2 output to wall plate behind downstairs TV.
However upstairs the TV link still doesn't work and there is no red light on.
What is driving me mad is that it used to work before all the cables etc downstairs were disconnected to set up the karaoake machine!
any help much appreciated

The wallplate is probably an "Isolated" type which allows the RF signal to pass but blocks the 9v DC which is needed to power the TV link.
Try replacing it with the non-isolated type.

Louis - work through the diagnostics in the FAQ to see where the issue is - my guess is the wallplate, but this should allow you to work through the issues.

As you stated...

"What is driving me mad is that it used to work before all the cables etc downstairs were disconnected to set up the karaoake machine!"

If that's the case it looks as though you either have a loose connection or someone has "rearranged" the connections wrongly.
