Moving Home - quick question

Hi All,

We have just bought a 2nd house that already has a sky dish installed. If I change my contact details with sky can I use my sky box in both houses?

The reason I ask is I have pre-ordered SkyHD and want it installed at the 2nd home but I guess they won't do this unless it is the primary address for the subscription?

Thanks,

Steve

You should be able to take the box and use it at the moment to the other address. But if you get HD then you will have a new contract that makes you keep it plugged into the phone line for 12 mouths. So its going to need to stay at one address.

Thanks guys.

Spoke to Sky last night and they said that I can change the address but I won't be able to 1) take the card between addresses as the card is tied to the box or 2) take the box between addresses as when you disconnect it the signal is lost and you have to call sky to get the signal feed again.

Not sure what to do now. I'm not going to be using the SkyHD box for a while but wanted one of the first gen with component outputs. Do you think they will install the HD box at the 2nd address with my subs at the 1st address?

Thanks,

Steve

You can take the box between two addresses. The only thing you lose is the telephone connection.
