RF to Composite Converter

I have gave up on my SKY digisender due to interference from Microwaves and Wireless Network. No matter what channels I use there is always something that doesn't work quite right!
SO, I have a coax run already under the floorboards to my 2nd room that I want to make use of. I connect this to RF out on my SKY digibox which gives me an RF signal in 2nd room.
But my problem is that I do not have an RF IN device in 2nd room. I have a composite running from AV Amp to Projector. So basically I need something to convert RF to Composite and phono. And I'm really not sure how to do that!

Can anyone help me out before I go and buy more bits that the shop won't take back?

Any old VCR with RF in and scart or phono/bnc for video and audio out will do.
It doesn't even have to be working mechanically.

No such thing really.

You would have to buy a cheap tuner ( loads of options and from £25)to convert the rf back to a picture.

You could fit an rca plug onto the cable, then a composite to s-video convertor and plug it into the sky box, wont change channels though or no audio.

Thanks guys,
I did think of using a VCR JayCee but ideally I do not want to have to put one in the 2nd room as I am out of space on my rack! Do I have any alternatives?

av2diefor, not exactly sure on the setup or type of tuner you are suggesting but the fact that I may not have audio doesn't sound too good.

Cheers,

Alan

Any sort of analogue tuner mate, you need it to decode the signal from rf2 out, it will also give you audio.

As has been mentioned a vcr is your best bet.

If you can run another cable for auido you could use it the way i described above also.

The Zinwell PV200 from Keene Electronics will do what you want, and a lot more. It will receive UK RF signals and output them in composite, s-vid, VGA and audio. It will also convert from composite/s-vid to VGA. Price is £84.99

As already suggested, an old VCR would be cheaper. You could even hide it and leave it "on".

Just giving all the options. The Zinwell at 9" x 6" x 1.5" is slightly smaller than your average VHS, and consumes rather less power, too

However you do it, you'll get mono audio and mediocre picture quality.
