tv link sound problem

tv link sound problem

just moved house and decided to wire our sky signal upstairs, we bought a tv link and have connected everything up as explained. we now have a perfect picture upstais and we are able to change the satellite channel via the tv link but there is no sound at all! can anyone help, we've tried everything, including wiring it to a different tv but this has the same problem!

please help!

Try setting the TV link to a different channel. There could be an adjacent channel which is causing the TV not to tune in properly.

Do you have sound on the downstairs TV via RF?
Temporarily disconnect the scart if it is connected.

i've checked the main rf out downstairs with the scart cable out and its the same story as upstairs with a perfect picture but no sound!

any idea's?

Have you tried unplugging the digibox completely from the mains supply wait a few minutes and power up again.
If that doesn't work I'd try a forced software download...kills 99% of digibox problems stone dead!

i contacted pace and they reckon theres a fault with the rf section of the box. my father in law reckons theres a problem with the sound cable going into the modulator of the rf.

i'll try the software download when i get home. thanks.
