Maybe a stupid question but.....

Would this sort the problem of recording a programme using sky plus with 1 feed, i obviously i know that you couldnt record 1 channel and watch another but surely if both inputs are going through 1 wire whatever you are watching you could record, and you wouldnt just be recording a blue screen?

Well it only goes up to 1GHz frequency and a satellite LNB output extends to more than 2GHz.

Otherwise, something like this *might* work, provided that the programme you want to watch is on the same band and the same polarisation as the one you want to record.

Bear in mind that "splitter" means just that. Each tuner will see somewhat less than half of the signal - like chopping an apple in half with a blunt axe. The reduced signal itself cause cause serious "dropout". But don't let me stop you from trying it!
