All Movie Channels in 5.1?

I've had Sky+ for over a year now, and wired into my 5.1 amp. Usually only movies 1,2,3 were broadcasted in 5.1. However last night, my 5.1 indicator on my amp was on on every movie channel. I flicked around and found movies 10 was in 5.1 (Anaconda) as well as 1,2,3.

The problem i have is because they are broadcast in 5.1 (but not actually) I can only listen to the film in Dolby Dig (sounds like a very poor Pro Logic or 3 stereo (front 3 speakers only) or in stereo. But on a true 5.1 broadcast i can change the sound from 5.1 to Pro logic, stereo and various DSP sounds.

Does anyone know whats going on?
Does anyone else experience the same?

SKY recently broght the new HD upgrades online and no doubt these playout suites have given them more DD facilities.
As you know SM1-10 now carry DD audio (5.1, 2.0 and 1.0) depending upon the content. When connected by a digital link the amp if set up correctly should switch between modes which reflect the DD audio being broadcast.
Obviously if they are only broadcasting DD2.0 then the amp will need to use ProLogic or PLII to create a surround field.

Me too. My TV now detects DD5.1 when it is not really being broadcast through the Digital optical connection and sounds wierd As soon as the movie starts all the speakers kick in and sounds correct again. This only started a while ago.
