Internet TV or Downloadable shows???

Hiya guys

Sorry if this is posted in the wrong place. wasn't sure where to post it.

Basically not sure what to do. My flat mate already has Freeview but thats in his room. I have a broadband connection in mine.

I've heard that maybe soon Drictv will be comming to the Xbox 360 as a new blade on the dash that way you can download the shows you want etc.

I dont really want to get into Sky again as i can't afford it a present.
I guess i could get my own freeview box....

But i was debating of building a new HTPC and putting MCE on it then i could watch tv through my 360 in High Definition (I have a HD LCD TV) and record live Tv etc using the remote. This would be cool and i would like my 360 as the hub of my multimedia

I do have a pc in my room already so i guess i could buy a bigger spare HD and put in a Terratec PCI-E Dual DVB-T Card then i could make a cheaper HTPC using my current pc

which is A64 3500+, 1 gig of Gskill Ram, DFI NF4 Ultra D mobo, ATI X850XT PCI-e graphics, 80gig HD.

So i'm sure its up to the job

But i heard you could download shows etc through the net. Anyone do this??

So lots of questions i know lol
Hope you can help

(next thing is to get an AV amp to get surround sound though the opitcal out on my 360 but thats something else)
