Digifusion FVRT100 problem

HI i have a Digifusion FVRT100 which has hold on the front display i was told the hard drive was bad now do you know if i can just put in a 40gb from my computer how does it have to be configured or is there software on the drive to work in the Digifusion thanks for your help

I dont think the harddrive is bad.
Those units suffer from a problem with the external power supply unit not being strong enough.
Try it on a new (12volt I think) supply of about 5 amps. ;-)

No problem. I also had this on mine. You plug in the power and the display just shows "HOLD".
I did a search on the net for causes of this and found it to be a common fault.
If you still have a receipt, Digifusion will replace the Power supply free of charge, otherwise you can purchase one from the likes of Maplin.
