phone number

I have been tiring to phone sky today, to get my card upgraded to sky+ but so far the best I have got is "your call will be answered in 19-24-& 31 minutes".

I did try last night and got a chap who could not understand a word I said, and I must say I could only understand a few things he said.

So is there a way of calling sky and speak to some one in England or even a quicker way to call them.

I have sent two e-mails and yet to hear back.

Many thanks

Try ringing 0800 731 6965, i have spoken to an english call centre everytime and as it is a freephone number i have never waited more than about 3 mins !

hope it helps, and even if you do have to hold for ages at least your not paying for the call!

Many thanks for the numbers

I tried the freephone first, but was told 47minute wait so then tired 0870 243 5000 and got throught right away and now have sky+ working again
Plus I spoke to someone I could understand, even if he was from Scotland (only joking, the wife is from there as well)

Cheers

As I understand it you should always get the quickest response by using an 0800 number because it actually costs them money to operate an 0800 system. A company I worked for sacked their 0800 number because staff used it instead of the geographical number to make contact and it was costing them a fortune.

If you subscribe to an unlimited call plan or off-peak plan etc. the next best option is the geographical alternative, it may not be quicker but it won't be costing you.

for the alternatives (not just Sky, many companies) try this website:

This site should be made common knowledge, it's extremely useful and saves you a few pennies too!
