Best way to prepare HD for upgrade?
I have 2 drives in a PC, one of which I want to upgrade in an Amstrad V2 Box.

What is the best preparation please? Normal format or write zeros all over it?

I have a Samsung and a Hitachi Deskstar.

http://www.hummer.co.uk/disc-change-v2.htm - if you have a V2 SKY+ Box then it states no prepping is required!

On other forums, people speak about doing a low level format on the drives particularly if they have had problems or a previously used drive. I believe thats your write 0 options and takes a considerable time.
