AV Senders, Worth it?

Ive been looking at getting a sender to send the sky signal up to a 2nd tv, However Ive been reading previous threads and they seem to be a mixed bag. There are just as many complaining about various issues as there are praising them(possibly more), therefore Im wondering if its worth the outlay.
I currently have the signal through a self installed RF cable with no tv link,(which also brings the main aerial feed) however I want stereo sound so I can get pro logic surround out of the home cinema kit on the 2nd tv
Any suggestions as to solutions and hardware would be greatly appreciated. If I do go down the sender route I would ideallly like to upgrade to a DVD/HD recorder aswell so senders with 2 scart outputs would be nice?
Cheers

If you want good quality video and sound then best to use cable (video+stereo pair).

I used a video sender for while and the picture quality was quite OK for a 28 inch TV in the bedroom but the sound was poor. Picture also broke up when people moved near or in front of the antenna or used the cordless phone. (I have since changed to a cable now )

In your case, if you want to use Dolby then I would say wired stereo sound is a must.
